London Heathrow Airport

London Heathrow Airport is the busiest airport in the world. It is Europe’s third biggest airport for air movements and biggest airport for number of passengers. It is UK busiest and best-connected airport.

Heathrow opened in 1946 with two runways, has 5 Terminals and flies to 187 destinations in 90 countries with over 90 different airlines. In March 2008 Terminal 5 was completed.

Each of the terminals has competitive currency exchange, facilities, information counters, accommodation desk and left luggage and property lost facilities. ATMs can be founded throughout all terminals.

There are wide range of cafes, take-a ways, restaurants and bars before and after security check, with many open 24/7.

The airport is also surrounded by hotels serving early-morning travelers and late-night arrivals.

Heathrow is accessible via the nearby M4 motorway and A4 road (terminal 1-3) the M25 motorway (terminals 4 and 5) and A30 road (terminal 4).

There are drop off and pick up areas at all terminals and short and long stay car parks.
